Pregnancy, contraception and sexual health in Calais
Pregnancy tests, abortion, contraception, the morning-after pill, screening: what is free, what is legal, and until when.

All of this applies with no papers, no money and no address. Nobody needs to be accompanied by their family, and nobody has the right to make you be.
Pregnancy tests are sold at the pharmacy, and are free for anyone under 18. If you are pregnant and want to continue the pregnancy, antenatal care is free: start at the PASS clinic, 1601 boulevard des Justes, open Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:30. The gynaecologist is there on Thursday, 13:30 to 16:30, but there is no ultrasound.
Abortion is legal in France. It is free, it is done in hospital, and it is possible up to 14 weeks of pregnancy. You do not need permission from your family or your husband, and you do not have to be accompanied.
Contraception is free. Condoms are free at the pharmacy for anyone under 26.
After unprotected sex, the morning-after pill should be taken as soon as possible and works up to 72 hours. It is given out at the pharmacy.
Screening for sexually transmitted infections is free at the PASS. Being tested does not depend on your immigration status and is not reported to anyone.
Medical confidentiality covers all of this. What you tell a health worker stays between you and them: the police, the prefecture and your family have no access to it.
